Phos

App privacy policy

Phos Devotionals (“Phos: Daily Devotional”), published by Shepherdstack LLC · effective October 1, 2026

Phos does not collect, store or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs in the app.

What stays on your device

Your settings stay on your device and are never sent to us: the devotional plan you chose, text font and size, your reminder time and the audio playback speed. Deleting the app deletes them.

The daily readings are built into the app, so reading works offline and your reading history is never sent anywhere.

Daily reminder

If you turn on the daily reminder, your device schedules it locally. We do not use push notifications, and no server knows your reminder time.

Audio

When you press Play, the app downloads that day’s recording from cdn.phosphoros.org, which is served by Cloudflare, and keeps it on your device so it can play again without a connection. As with any web request, Cloudflare receives your device’s IP address to deliver the file. We do not use it to identify you. Cloudflare’s own policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Older versions of the app (2.x) also download the day’s text from api.phosphoros.org, on the same terms.

Links that leave the app

Bible references open the Bible app (YouVersion) if it is installed, or bible.com in your browser. What happens there is governed by YouVersion’s privacy policy, not this one.

This website

phosphoros.org sets no cookies and has no forms or accounts. It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying visitors. If you write to us by email, we use your message only to reply.

Children

Phos is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
